Evangelism Prayer Chain

February 28 - March 4 2022

This Evangelism prayer chain is so very powerful because it is leading up to our Evangelism Weekend! This weekend is going to be so very amazing for our Church and we want to pave the way in prayer! Please join us in these 5 days of prayer. We are asking people to pray for 1 hour and you can pray one day or you can sign up to pray for all 5 days.

Click the link below to sign up. (please note that you have to scroll by pressing “more” when you are on your cell phone to get to the other days to sign up)    Evangelism Prayer Chain

Below are 5 prayer points to help you pray:

There are 5 separate ‘areas’ to pray over with scripture references. Each area has 5 prayer points that support the passage of scripture. The main idea behind the scriptures are that “we”, the church, are prepared for the harvest (we are the ones who need the prayer!!)

Evangelism Prayer Chain Prayer Points

#1. Romans 12:1-2  (MSG) “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”

  • Spend several minutes in worship and fix your attention on The Lord
  • Ask Him to show you what areas of your life you’ve kept Him out of
  • Commit each of those areas to His service in a new way
  • Give Him permission to transform your thinking into His Kingdom culture
  • Ask Holy Spirit to help you see what parts of your life need to be matured

#2. Colossians 3:1-3 (MSG) “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life.”

  • Ask The Lord to teach us what it means to truly live a resurrected life
  • Ask Him where you’ve been focused on the things of this world
  • Have the courage to ‘break up’ with old mindsets that hold you back
  • Declare you are a new creation and yield to His heavenly perspective
  • Ask for a new sensitivity to how God’s spirit is moving in this season

#3. Ephesians 4:4,6  (MSG) You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly…Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.

Philippians 3:15-16  (MSG) So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.

  • Pray that the Body of Christ will recognize this season demands unity
  • Pray that hearts would be joined together for one goal: The Harvest
  • Repent for where your vision has been blurred and self-serving
  • Ask God to renew your vision for the end-time harvest and journal what He shows you
  • Declare that you are “All In” from this point on

#4. Matthew 28:18-20  (MSG) Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

  • Acknowledge that sharing the gospel is our responsibility
  • Tell The Lord you are ready to be commissioned in this new season of revival
  • Write down the names of 5 people you will pray for daily
  • Pray that we would see 300 new believers baptized in 2022
  • Ask the Lord to allow 50% of our church body to burn with the fire of evangelism

#5. Ephesians 3:5-6 (MSG) Only in our time has it been made clear by God’s Spirit through his holy apostles and prophets of this new order. The mystery is that people who have never heard of God and those who have heard of him all their lives (what I’ve been calling outsiders and insiders) stand on the same ground before God. They get the same offer, same help, same promises in Christ Jesus. The Message is accessible and welcoming to everyone, across the board.

Ephesians 3:9-10 My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in secret and behind the scenes all along. Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!

  • Tell the Lord we are ready to see expansion come through the prophetic anointing and apostolic assignment upon MGC
  • Ask the Lord to uncover the mysteries that need to be revealed in this age
  • Declare that we will see all people on the same ground through the cross
  • Pray that the gospel will be understood and received by all who hear
  • Tell the Lord that we want MGC to be ‘the talk of heaven’ for His glory!
