MG College | Jason Welch

Jason Welch lives in Mont Belvieu with his high school sweetheart and wife of more than 30 years, Sandi, who serves as Executive Director of MercyGate Learning Center. Jason and Sandi have two children, Cade and Jace, and two grandchildren, Oaklin Mae and Cove Wilder. Jason enjoys spending time with his family, being involved in all things MercyGate, and tackling DIY projects in the garage. Most of all, he treasures every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren.

Professionally, Jason serves as Director of Information Protection for one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States, where he provides leadership and support for 16 hospitals throughout the Gulf Coast region. He holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership as well as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. Throughout his career, Jason has led numerous teams and programs, implemented process-improvement initiatives, and mentored colleagues pursuing their own professional
development.

Jason is passionate about creating environments where people are encouraged to grow, think differently, and approach challenges from new perspectives. He is known for bringing energy and fun to the workplace while challenging those around him to pursue excellence.

Jason is excited to bring his real-world leadership experience into the classroom at MercyGate College. More importantly, he considers it a privilege to invest in the lives of his students, helping them grow as leaders and equipping them to make a meaningful impact wherever God calls them to serve.
