Family Fight: Knowing Your Opponent
Prayer Points – Family Fight Round 7 – Knowing Your Opponent: A Fighters Fundamentals
(Gen 2:24-3:1, Matt 19:5-6, Ps 112:1-3)
• Holy Spirit, we invite your Presence into our time of prayer. We thank you for your nearness.
• Lord, forgive us for the times when we have treated You as common and so familiar that we lost our reverence, fear, and awe.
• Today, we surrender to Your Word so that we can obey and trust You. We ask for a Holy Fear of You to overtake our hearts.
• We bring our families, relationships, and marriages before you. As we remain humble and don’t consider ourselves experts, help us to know our people, know their language, empathize with them well, and keep our hearts rooted in love.
• Lord, let us be the echo of encouragement in the corner of our loved ones, family, friendships, and marriages.
• Where trust has been broken, God, we ask you to come in and heal, restore, and redeem the time. Show us where we need to take accountability and where we need to release what is keeping us from moving forward and building trust.
• Lord, we lift up those who have not had someone in their corner, who haven’t had the safety and connection of knowing that someone is there for them. Soften their hearts to receive Your love, healing, and new relationships.
• As we meditate on Psalm 112, let it reverberate in our souls so that we can take hold of it for ourselves and our families.
• As we reverently love You and greatly delight in Your commandments, we can trust that our children will be mighty in the land and that the generation of the upright will be blessed. (Psalm 112:1-2)
• God, we thank you that wealth and riches are in our homes as our character genuinely reflects Your image and likeness. (Psalm 112:3)
