The Road Home

Jonna Gibson   -

This week take the time to stir up the HOPE that has been given to us through Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection. Remain confident that He is who He says He is and He will do what He said He will do.

Prayer Points – The Road Part 3 – The Road Home

Scriptures – (2 Cor. 5:1-10, 1 Pet. 2:11, Phil. 3:20-21, John 16:33, Phil. 1:6, John 14:3, Rev. 22:1-2, 1 Cor. 2:9, Rev. 21:4, John 10:10)

·      Father, we are so thankful and grateful for Jesus who made a road for us back to our original home through His life, death, burial, and resurrection.

·      Help us remember that when we are facing hardships and difficulties along the road, we still have HOPE and victory over every enemy because of what Jesus has done for us.

·      In the midst of the problems we may face, help us remember that You are chiseling our rough edges off so that we can fit UP THERE and not down here.  This world is not our home, we are being fitted for eternity!

·      Take a moment and sit with Holy Spirit be open and honest with Him about the things you struggle with, the setbacks that have happened, the pain and disappointment you are feeling.  Then give those things to Him and allow Him to awaken HOPE within you and fill you with JOY that will strengthen you.

·      Today, we choose to go beyond existing and living to LIFE and life more abundantly.

·      Today, we choose to believe that He who began a good work in us is faithful to complete that work.

·      Today, we choose to remember that what Jesus has done for us trumps everything we did.

·      Today, we choose to wait with quiet confidence and believe that God will do what He said He would do.  He will save, heal, deliver, restore, rescue, provide, and He will make a way because He is not a man that He should lie!

·      Today, we choose to believe that THERE IS MORE beyond the here and now.  Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for those who love Him.

·      Today, we choose to make a difference everywhere we go.  We will be salt in places that need salt and preservation.  We will be light in places of darkness.  Declare: “On my way home I’m going to take as many with me until I get there.  I’m going to let them know there is another road!”
