Jude 1-2, 1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: 2 May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. ESV
I truly enjoy New Years and the bringing forth of a new season…I enjoy the whole concept of having the opportunity to start over…One of my favorite things about the New Year is to speak to you Prophetically what I hear the Lord saying for the New Year…
The theme the Lord has laid on my heart for 2025 is Multiply…
• For all of you in 2024 that things just didn’t seem to add up…it’s because God was shifting you into a season and time of Multiplication…
• Tell three people it’s time for you to Multiply…
When I say, God is about to Multiply I’m not speaking simply of Material matters…. Look at the verse in Jude
• Multiply Mercy
• Multiply Peace
• Multiply Love
• Multiply the Revelation and Manifestation of His Glory in Your Lives and Families…
• Multiply Your Influence….
• Multiply Lives Changed, Relationships Restored and Destinies Discovered.
I’ll dig more into Jude in the coming weeks…
Multiplication doesn’t just happen…you have to be intentional and there are a few things God says must take place for us to enter into Multiplication…
• The Apostle Paul told Timothy…” Stir up the gift of God in your life that your received by the laying on of my hands…”
- Paul knew Timothy was gifted…but dormant
- He knew Timothy couldn’t be motivated by someone else…he had to Motivate Himself…Timothy had to stir up his own Gift…
- Stir up Faith
- Stir up Healing
- Stir up Hospitality
- Stir up the Gift of Helps
- Stir up Gift of Giving
- Stir up the Prophetic
- Stir up Teaching
- Stir up means “the resuscitation of a flame…to shake up, to incite…”
Gifted but not Stirred…Hear me…there is nothing wrong with your gift…your fire is just going out and needs resuscitation…you either need fuel or a breeze…
Before this Service is Over…Your Gift will be Stirred and we are going to Cross-over into Multiplication!
Look Up
I. Look Up
a. Several times in Scripture there is a clear intention and emphasis placed on the Phrase “He Looked Up.”
This phrase is key for us if we are going step into a Multiplication Season…
b. Let me show you several significant “He Looked Up”Moments in scripture Abraham – Genesis 18:2 Abraham is sitting at his tent door and looks up and sees three men, which we discover later, one of them is God and the other two are Angels…So, when you look up you find help you didn’t know you had while you were looking down…Abraham runs out to them and tells them I’ll prepare a meal, come in and eat with us…the men take him up on Abraham’s offer, and the men ask about his wife Sarah…and they Prophesy and tell him your wife Sarah will have a child by this time next year…
3. Looking up allowed him to see help he didn’t know was available…hospitality opened the door to the prophetic…which released the Promise of an Isaac….
4. But it all started with “He Looked Up”. What are you needing in your life…it might be time to Look Up…Don’t miss this…Abraham had to invite…Jesus said, “I stand at the door and knock…if you’ll invite me in, I’ll take you up on your invitation.”
Joshua – Joshua 5:13
1. Joshua was outside of this city named Jericho and was in prayer asking God for a strategy so He could go up against this enemy, this obstacle, this barrier, this hinderance to them entering the Promises of God…called Jericho
2. Joshua looked up and saw the answer to his challenge….what is your challenge, you obstacle, your hinderance that is keeping you back from the Promises God has given you…
iii. Loaves and Fishes – Mark6:41. The bible says Jesus had been teaching all day…and you guys thought I was long winded…and now the people were hungry…
3. Jesus had them sit down…and Jesus “Looked Up” and blessed, broke, and gave the bread out…
4. Hear me…when Jesus looked up and prayed, he broke the limitations on the meal, the disciples saw the multiplication of the meal in their hands…
5. If we are going to enter into Multiplication…we will need the Lord to break off the Limitations…
a. Break the limitations off our Gifts
b. Break the limitations off our Thinking
c. Break the limitations off our resources
d. Break the limitations off our faith Lazarus – John 11:41. Before Jesus said come forth to the grave…he first lifted his eyes and looked up. This is a principle all through the Word of God…we must be willing to Look Up…
To enter a year of Multiply we will need to do what Jer 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” ESV
II. Principle of Multiplication
a. In the principle of multiplication it suggests that God did not simply create us to Maintain but to Multiply.
b. John Maxwell says, “Leaders who are adders create follower, leaders who are multipliers develop other leaders.” More on this next week…
c. Let’s take a test
i. What’s 2 + 2 = 4
ii. What’s 2 X 2 = 4
1. See on the first level multiplication and addition look the same…
2. This is why so many aren’t consistent in following the Lord…
a. Because when we start following God, start praying, start tithing, start living right…it all looks the same…
b. So you start thinking why should I live right…because they are living wrong and we are ending up with the same thing…
3. Hear me…they’ve got addition, but God has called you to Multiplication…
iii. So what is 2 + 3 = 5
iv. Now 2 X 3 = 6
1. See when God Multiplies, you skip steps…
v. Because of your faithfulness God is about to get ready to Multiply You…
III. Remove Fear
a. Here is what I suspect…when you hear the word Multiply you think immediately, I can’t do anymore…I’m doing all I can do Lord…
b. A friend of mine who lives up State called me on November 12th and gave me this word…I want to share part of it with you…
c. “God is shifting you Don, into a Supernatural Overdrive …Multiplication is coming your way like you’ve never seen or have known…eye has not seen, your ears haven’t heard of it before…You’re skipping gears…Overdrive”
i. So I looked up overdrive – “It allows you to run at a lower RPM while maintaining a higher speed”
ii. Overdrive provides fuel efficiency
iii. Less wear and tear
iv. Quieter Operation
IV. Closing
i. Here me…you need some folks in your life who can do more than add to you…you need to be able to pass some stuff off and they Multiply it…
ii. Scripture says, “Be Fruitful and Multiply”
iii. How do you enter into Multiplication…
1. The X symbol begins at the + cross…
2. Jesus went to a + cross so we could X Multiply….
iv. All I know is…it is time for you to look up…
1. All Multiplication for the Believer begins at the Cross…
2. But we must give God something to Multiply…
a. See any number multiplied to 0 = 0
b. So God may be able…but what are we giving him to work with….
c. See that is why He said if you have the faith as the grain of a mustard seed…it’s not much, but it is something that God’s multiplier can be tied to…so trees are uprooted, and mountains are thrown into seas…
3. Some here this morning need to look up…
a. Like Abraham you have help and prophetic promises coming to pass
b. Like Joshua, God is going to give strategy in how to remove the obstacle
c. As You Look Up God is going to break the Limitations off your life…
d. Look up because some things you thought were dead and buried are going to live again in a Multiplication season…
