The Road to Jerusalem

Jonna Gibson   -

Pastor encouraged us to lay down our man-made coverings, receive the covering of the Blood of the Lamb, and walk in salvation! Let’s choose to be those who produce good fruit, intentionally giving the best away along the road to purpose! May the spirit of prayer and wisdom envelop us as we eat, digest, and pray into the Word of the Lord this week!

Prayer Points-Road to Easter-Road to Jerusalem

(Matthew 21:18-19, Mark 11:12-14, Leviticus 23:22, Galatians 5:22-23, John 4:23, Isaiah 64:6, Luke 13:6-9)

·      Father, we as the Body of Christ and as individuals take responsibility for the lack of fruit our lives are producing.

·      Even though it may look like we’re surrounded by the manure of life, let’s choose to let God use it to fertilize us (grow us, mature us, produce fruit)!

·      Lord, we know it’s not good enough for us to look like we’re fruitful if the fruit isn’t impacting or sustaining others. We want to be fruitful in our marriages, businesses, families, etc.

·      We refuse to violate the Gleaning Laws and eat all of the fruit for ourselves, knowing the gifts and fruit are not for us!

·      Holy Spirit, help us find ways to share the fruit that’s been produced in us. We will leave the best fruit for others to eat (healing, love, encouragement, belief for the impossible) so they too can produce for the Kingdom!

·      Holy Spirit, give us the wisdom and discernment to know when an opportunity looks promising on the road to purpose, but is merely a counterfeit trying to detour us.

·      Forgive us, Lord, for taking matters into our own hands and temporarily covering ourselves with the fig leaves of life (religion, good works, self-righteousness, comparison), when we know your blood is more than enough.

·      Declare, “Today I choose to lay down my fig leaves that I used to hide shame, embarrassment, guilt, or sin! I receive the finished work of the cross and will walk in salvation!”

·      Jesus, you said you have food we know not of. This week, we will eat of your Word, Presence, and the sermon Pastor Don preached, stirring up our hunger for more of you!

·      Jesus, we invite you to lift up our leaves and inspect our lives! We want you to walk past us and see the personal growth, maturity, potential, and tangible fruit attached to us!

·      May mercy, peace, and love produce and multiply in us to be shared with those we encounter today!
