EMOJI: Mixed Emotions- Bittersweet
Good afternoon, here are the prayer points for Pastor Corey’s sermon. He empowered us to feel our emotions but not become them and to shift our perspective from focusing on the bitter to looking toward the sweet. We encourage you to spend some time in the presence of the Lord and allow Him to reveal to You what only He can.
Prayer Points – Bittersweet
(John 11:35, Joshua 1-5, Genesis 29:20-35, Ephesians 6:12, Acts 9:1-19)
– Holy Spirit, I welcome you, search me and know me, speak to me today.
– What emotions have I bottled up and carried around that You want me to surrender?
– I repent for setting my sight on the bitter things: the disappointments, complaints, frustrations, failures, and missed opportunities. I want to focus on the sweetness of life that is found in You.
– If all I have is your Holy Spirit, then I have more than enough; help me set my perspective on eternity.
– Lord, I understand that my actions tell the story of my life. Let my relationship with You be more than a Sunday service; give me a hunger for You that causes my actions to line up with my confession of belief.
– Father, I know that you have a plan for every person in my life; forgive me for counting people out because of my perception of them.
– Give me sight to see people the way You see them and to see myself the way You see me.
– Lord what have you already placed in me that you’re waiting for me to move on so that you can get the glory out of my life?
– Declare, “God has given me the keys to unlock freedom in the lives of those around me, and I will no longer keep them in my pocket.”
