We are ordinary people growing in relationship with an extraordinary God – and our students are no exception to this! MercyGate Youth isn’t just one more activity to add to their already full schedules, but rather is the place for junior high and senior high school students to connect relationally to one another and to discover the radical grace of God in a fresh and new way!

Got Questions? Get Answers!
It's my first time...what can I expect?
Our services are casual and welcoming. You can wear a suit and tie but most people; including our Lead Pastor, will be in jeans. Our services are energetic and include practical teaching as well as an opportunity for you to receive or get prayer. There are classes for nursery age from zero to 5 years old and then kids classes for 6 to 11 years old. We have a coffee shop that includes soft drinks and pastries so if you skipped breakfast we can hook you up! Our Pastors speak the Word in way that you can apply it to you life and find freedom. You will not leave the same!
Where are you located?
From Houston, Baytown area: Head on Interstate 10 East and exit #800 taking the curve to the right to get on Eagle Drive. You then drive over the highway and you will see us right off the highway on the left side of Eagle Drive.
From Beaumont: Take Interstate 10 West and Exit #800 and make a right and you will be on Eagle Drive. Continue through the light and we are on the left!
What about childcare?
We LOVE children! We have a full nursery staff each week for both services on Sunday for under 5 and of course we have Kid’s classes for 5-11. Our main priority in the MercyGate nursery is to show them God’s love while teaching them His word. You can drop your children off with ease by checking them in at the entrance in front of the children’s wing or at the church entrance closest to Eagle drive.
Be prepared to show your ID the first time. Keeping your little ones safe and secure is a top priority for us. Each service you will receive an ID sticker that you must show when picking up your child. Keeping them safe, secure, and happy while you take time to receive what you need in service is what we love to do! We can’t wait to see you here!
At MercyGate Church we also have our own MercyGate Learning Center that operates 5 days a week and is a “Children’s Day Out”, “Day Care”, “After School Program” and a “Private Kindergarten”! For more information about these programs you can look at their website: MercyGate Learning Center
Where do I park & which entrance do I go in?
We have several entrances but the main one is the covered portico and it is the closest one to the coffee shop!
Is there a dress code?
Service is early...do you have coffee?

How do I find out about events at MGC?
How do I learn more about how to be saved?
Here are a few simple steps to help us understand God’s plan.
1. Acknowledge your sin and its end result.
For all have sinned. Romans 3:23a
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a
2. Believe that Jesus died for your sin.
The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b
3. Confess your sin and ask him to save you.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9
Also ask Him to help you make a commitment to live your life so that it pleases Him by a condition of repentance. Webster defines it as : “to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the correction of one’s life”
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Corinthians 5:17
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Now, help me to live for You the rest of this life.
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Some Christians call this type of prayer the Sinner’s Prayer. While there is no example of a sinner’s prayer in the Bible, it is based on Romans 10:9-10:
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (NIV)
If you’re wondering what to do next as a new Christian, check out these helpful suggestions:
—Salvation is by grace, through faith. There’s nothing you did, or ever can do, to deserve it. It’s a free gift from God. All you have to do is receive it!
—Tell someone about your decision. It’s important that you tell someone to make it public, secure, and firm. Find a brother or sister in the Lord and tell him or her, “Hey, I made a decision to follow Jesus.” And do it today if you can. It’s a great way to seal the deal.
—Talk to God every day. You don’t have to use big fancy words. There are no right and wrong words. Just be yourself. Thank the Lord daily for your salvation. Pray for others in need. Seek his direction. Pray for the Lord to fill you daily with his Holy Spirit. There is no limit to prayer. You can pray with your eyes closed or open, while sitting or standing, kneeling or lying on your bed, anywhere, and anytime.
–Read the Bible everyday. God will speak to you through His Word! It is life giving and is our guide book in life!
–Get involved in a church. Being a part of a church not only helps you to grow spiritually but will assist you in developing into the person that God intended you to be. We were not made to do this life alone!
If you prayed this prayer and asked Jesus into your heart or even re-dedicated your life to Christ then we would love to hear from you! Please email email@example.com and let us know or you can call our church office at 281-576-5201 and ask to talk to one of our staff pastors! God BLESS YOU!

Children from all walks of life are accepted and loved at Mercygate Kids. We strive to make our campus a safe place for children physically, mentally, and spiritually. No matter what happens to your child throughout the week, MercyGate Kids is a stable, fun environment for them to experience Christ and to be exactly who God created them to be! Each week at MercyGate Kids, our goal is to help your child grow in their relationship with Christ, identify their gifts, and utilize their talents to further the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our moto is “Where Your Child Belongs”. I would say my biggest want out of our children’s ministry is not just the willingness to minister to all children but to have the capability to minister to all children including special needs. I want us to be able to effectively minister to children from all walks of life. No one is turned away.
Pastor Calvin emphasizes that Mercygate Kids exists to disciple children through the basics of biblical knowledge and the fundamentals of having a relationship with Jesus Christ; while giving parents the tools they need to continue that discipleship at home.
